Attorney Stout-Sherrer received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Certification from Kent State University, in Kent, Ohio, graduating Phi Betta Kappa and Golden Key International Honour Society. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley (aka Western Michigan University) in Lansing, Michigan. During her law school, she participated in Moot Court, Mock Trial Board, and Sixty Plus Elderlaw Clinic, Inc.
Prior to joining the firm in 2023, Kimberly practiced at the Stark County Public Defender Office, Medina County Public Defender Office and as a Partner of her firm in Akron, Ohio. She has represented a wide range of clients including criminal defense at juvenile, misdemeanor and felony levels and appellate practice. Due to her high volume of criminal litigation, Kimberly became death penalty certified in 2019 and became only the second attorney in Medina County to obtain the certification. Her practice has further included personal injury; property disputes; probate litigation; and custody litigation. Within her positions, she has also served on committees to implement drug courts and mental health courts for both the felony and misdemeanor levels.
She is a member of the Akron Bar Association, Wayne County Bar Association, Medina County Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association, and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, having served on numerous committees.
Kimberly resides in Medina County where she is an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Wadsworth, Ohio, the Autism Society of Greater Akron and Wadsworth City Schools.
